Day 01: Arrive Chennai

You will be met on arrival at Chennai airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Benzz Park / GRT Grand.

Day 02: Chennai to Mahabalipuram

After breakfast tour to Chennai city, Fort St George and Museum. Afternoon visit Dakshinachitra Cultural Village and then proceed to Mahabalipuram. Overnight stay at Ideal Beach Resort / Chariot Beach Resort during South India Heritage Tours.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry

In the morning post breakfast, do the sightseeing of Mahabalipuram. Afternoon drive to Pondicherry. Overnight stay at De L Orient / Calve.

Day 04: Pondicherry Sightseeing

Morning city tour covering the French Quarter of Pondicherry and Museum. Overnight stay at De L Orient / Calve.

Day 05: Pondicherry to Kumbakonam via Gangaikondacholapuram & Darasuram

After breakfast drive to Gangaikondacholapuram and Darasuram (UNESCO Monuments) and then proceed to Kumbakonam. Overnight stay at Paradise Resorts, Kumbakonam / Mantra Veppathur.

Day 06: Kumbakonam Sightseeing

Day at Kumbakonam, experiencing traditional crafts such as bronze statue making and pottery.  You can also visit many temples today as Kumbakonam is the temple town.  Overnight stay at Paradise Resorts, Kumbakonam / Mantra Veppathur.

Day 07: Kumbakonam to Karaikudi via Tanjore

Today visit Tanjore Big Temple, Palace and Museum and then drive to Karaikudi, the district where old merchants built their houses in traditional style. You can also visit the Chettinad Palace which is best in Southern India Heritage Tour.  Overnight stay at The Bangala / Chettinadu Mansion.

Day 08: Karaikudi to Dindugal

After breakfast drive 3 hrs to Dindugal and check into Cardamom House, a little further to the Athoor village, set on the banks of the Kamaraj Lake at the foot of the Western Ghats.  The nearby village offers the opportunity to see day to day life of Tamil people.  Overnight stay at Cardamom House.

Day 09: Dindugal to Madurai

This day, drive to Madurai and check into the hotel.  In the afternoon visit Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum and Meenakshi Amman Temple.  Overnight stay at GRT Regency Madurai during your South India Heritage Tours.

Day 10: Madurai – Kovalam

Today drive to Kovalam en route visiting Padmanabapuram Teak Palace, the only Teak palace in India.  Overnight stay at Sagara Palace / Travancore.

Day 11: Relaxation at Kovalam

Have a complete relaxation at the beach.  Overnight stay at Sagara Palace / Travancore.

Day 12: Kovalam to Thottapally

Next day of your South India heritage tours, Before check into your Kettuvallam houseboat; visit Krishnapuram Palace while driving from Kovalam.  Travel through the lush green backwaters of Kerala with the crew attending to your need.  Observe the traditional lifestyle of the Keralites.  You will see Temples, fishing, people tending their crops and coconut plantations as you drift through the canals which is a unique and totally relaxing experience.  Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 13: Kumarakom

Disembark the houseboat at Backwater Resort.  Enjoy the facilities offered at this resort.  Overnight stay at Kumarakom Lake Resort / Coconut Lagoon.

Day 14: Alleppey - Cochin

Post breakfast transfer by motor boat to Alleppey and then drive to Cochin.  After lunch sightseeing of Fort Cochin, Jew town and Mattancherry Palace.  In the evening enjoy Kathakali Dance Performance show.  Overnight stay at Hotel Arches / Tower House.

Day 15: Cochin

In the morning after your breakfast visit the Hilltop Palace and have a traditional lunch at the home of Mrs. Nimmy Paul, the renowned Malabar Chef. Watch the demonstration of Kalaripayattu, the traditional Martial arts of Kerala in the evening.  Overnight stay at Hotel Arches / Tower House.

Day 16: Cochin

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey to your home.
